I recommend that you link every detailed task and milestone task with at least one Predecessor and at least one Successor so that you have a complete dependency network in the project. Do you have unlinked tasks in your schedule? If so, try linking every unlinked task not summary tasks and determine if the Critical Path now displays as expected. Hope this helps.
